Law and Family

Spanish version

Given the growing constitutionalization of family law, which includes the application of human rights standards for the adjudication of family relationships and personal life, the Center for Constitutional Studies aims to rebuild jurisprudential lines on the most relevant topics in the matter, such as: the child's best interests, filiation, adoption, international restitution of minors, as well as themes related to gender identity and sexual orientation.

Along with the work on judicial precedent in Mexico, the purpose of this research is to make available to the legal and academic community the recent criteria of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation for discussion and dissemination. Our activity includes Permanent Seminars of jurisprudential analysis in universities and legal research centers in the country and the organization of events with national and international specialists in this subject.
